Many teens ask, "Does hair cause acne?" This is a common misperception. The fact is that facial hair starts coming in when the hormones are high and wild. The fact the hair is coming in at the same time will lead people to believe that hair causes acne.
The real cause of acne is hormones. When you're young the hormones are wild and untamed. This unbalance causes sebum to build and get clogged in the pores. This ultimately results in acne.
So, hair does not cause acne nor does is clog the sebum in the pores of the skin. Heightened hormones trigger acne.
